Course Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 14 September 2026

These terms explain what you are buying, how access works and the rights and responsibilities that apply to the Memory Curious course. Please read them before purchasing.

The course is supplied by Oxbridge Baby Limited, trading as Memory Curious, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 05534374. Our registered office is 167 London Road, Leicester, LE2 1EG. You can contact us at john@memorycurious.com.

1. About these terms

1.1 These terms form a contract between Oxbridge Baby Limited, trading as Memory Curious, and you as the person purchasing the course.

1.2 In these terms:

  • ·“we”, “us” and “our” mean Oxbridge Baby Limited, trading as Memory Curious;
  • ·        “you” means the individual purchasing the course;
  • “learner” means the one named individual authorised to access and use the course; and
  • “course” means the Memory Curious self-paced digital course and the videos, downloads and other materials identified in the course description presented to you before purchase.

1.3 These terms apply to individual purchasers. If you purchase the course wholly or mainly for purposes outside your trade, business, craft or profession, you are purchasing as a consumer and retain all applicable consumer rights. Purchases made on behalf of a company or other organisation require our prior written agreement.

1.4 You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. The course is not available where its sale or use would be unlawful or where the course platform cannot provide access.

2. Ordering the course

2.1 The website and checkout invite you to place an order. Your order is accepted, and the contract begins, when payment has been accepted and an order confirmation has been issued.

2.2 You must provide complete and accurate information during checkout and account registration. We may refuse or cancel an order before access is provided if the payment is not authorised, the information supplied is materially inaccurate, the course is unavailable or the transaction appears unlawful or fraudulent. Any payment already received for a cancelled order will be returned.

2.3 The order confirmation, the course description presented before purchase and these terms form part of the contract. Nothing in these terms limits responsibility for any statement or information that applicable law treats as binding.

2.4 We will send you an order confirmation by email. The email will include or be accompanied by these terms and will confirm the request and acknowledgement given under section 5.2.

3. What the course includes

3.1 Memory Curious is a self-paced online course about memory, learning, attention and related habits. The course includes digital content and materials identified in the detailed course description presented to you before purchase.

3.2 Unless expressly stated otherwise in the course description, the course does not include live teaching, individual assessment, personal coaching, a community area or personalised medical or educational advice.

3.3 The detailed description shown before purchase identifies the course content and any specific features included in your order. Please contact us before purchasing if you require information about compatibility, accessibility or another feature that is important to your decision.

3.4 We may correct errors and make reasonable updates to improve accuracy, accessibility, security, presentation or usability. We may also replace content with substantially equivalent or improved material. We will not materially reduce the overall course purchased during the guaranteed access period without providing any remedy required by law.

4. Price, currencies and payment

4.1 The price is the total amount displayed at checkout before you place the order. Payment is taken in US dollars.

4.2 The total price shown at final checkout includes any VAT, sales tax or similar mandatory tax collected as part of the transaction. Teachable or another payment provider may calculate, collect and remit taxes where required. You remain responsible for any separate charge imposed by your bank or payment provider, including a foreign exchange or international transaction charge.

4.3 We may change the course price or offer genuine promotions from time to time. A price change will not affect an order already accepted. A discount applies only when it is displayed or validly entered at checkout and cannot be applied retrospectively.

4.4 Payment is processed through Teachable and its payment providers. Their own payment and platform terms may also apply. The contract for the course remains between you and us.

4.5 If a payment is reversed, charged back, declined after access begins or found to have been unauthorised, we may suspend access while the matter is investigated. We will not treat the good-faith use of a legitimate payment dispute or statutory remedy as a breach. Access will be restored promptly if payment is reinstated or the dispute is resolved in your favour.

5. Cancellation rights

5.1 The course is digital content supplied online. Access begins immediately after payment and account registration have been completed.

5.2 Before access begins, you must expressly request the immediate supply of the course and acknowledge that your statutory 14-day cancellation right will be lost once supply begins. You provide this request and acknowledgement as part of the checkout process when you expressly agree to these Terms before completing your purchase.

5.3 Once access to the course begins following that express request and acknowledgement, your statutory cancellation right is lost to the extent permitted by applicable law.

5.4 If access has not yet begun, you may cancel by emailing john@memorycurious.com with a clear statement that you wish to cancel. You may also use the model cancellation form available at https://courses.memorycurious.com/p/model-cancellation-form, although using the form is not compulsory.

5.5 Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights where the course is faulty, materially misdescribed or otherwise fails to comply with applicable law.

6. Access period

6.1 Access begins when the course is made available to the learner through the course platform.

6.2 Subject to these terms, the learner will receive access for a guaranteed period of 12 months from the date access begins.

6.3 After the guaranteed period, access will continue for as long as we continue to make the course available to existing learners. This continuing access is not lifetime or permanent access and does not require us to operate the course or website indefinitely.

6.4 Removing the course from sale to new customers does not, by itself, end access for existing learners.

6.5 If we end access during the guaranteed period for a reason within our reasonable control, other than because of your or the learner’s breach, we will take reasonable steps to provide access through a substantially equivalent alternative. If this is not reasonably possible, we will provide any remedy required by applicable law.

6.6 We may transfer the course to another broadly equivalent platform. We will provide reasonable instructions and, where practicable, advance notice. A platform change does not extend the guaranteed access period unless we expressly say otherwise.

7. Platform availability and technical requirements

7.1 The course is currently delivered through Teachable. The videos are streamed through the course platform and are not supplied as permanent downloads. The workbook and Memory Toolkit are supplied as downloadable PDF files.

7.2 You will need an internet-connected device with a current web browser, a reliable internet connection, an email address that you can access and software capable of opening PDF files. You are responsible for these requirements and for related internet or device costs.

7.3 Course access and use of the materials may be subject to account controls, streaming restrictions and other reasonable technical protections designed to prevent unauthorised use.

7.4 We do not promise that access will be uninterrupted or error-free. Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, updates, security work, internet failures or problems affecting Teachable or another provider.

7.5 We will take reasonable steps to restore access to the course where a problem is within our control. If a material interruption substantially affects the guaranteed access period, we will provide any remedy required by law.

7.6 We may suspend access without advance notice where this is reasonably necessary to address an urgent security, legal or technical problem. We will seek to restore access as soon as reasonably practicable.

8. Accounts and personal access

8.1 Each purchase provides access for one named learner only. The learner may not share an account, login details or course access with another person, including a member of the same household or workplace.

8.2 You and the learner must keep account details secure, use accurate registration information and notify john@memorycurious.com promptly if you believe the account has been accessed without permission.

8.3 You are responsible for activity carried out through the account unless it results from a failure by us or the platform provider to use reasonable care.

8.4 A licence cannot be transferred to a different learner without our prior written agreement.

9. Licence and permitted use

9.1 Once the order is accepted, we grant the learner a limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to access and use the course during the access period for personal learning, subject to these terms.

9.2 The learner may:

  • watch the course videos through the authorised course platform;
  • download the workbook, Memory Toolkit and any other material expressly made downloadable;
  • print a reasonable number of copies of the downloadable materials for the learner’s own use; and
  • apply the knowledge and techniques learned in personal, educational or professional life.

9.3 Subject to section 11, the learner may retain and continue using properly downloaded copies of the workbook, Memory Toolkit and other expressly downloadable materials indefinitely for personal, non-commercial use after online access ends. This does not include a right to receive later updates or new versions.

10. Uses that are not permitted

10.1 Unless we have agreed otherwise in writing, you and the learner must not:

  • share, lend, sell, sublicense or transfer access to the course;
  • copy, record, screen-capture, download or reproduce any video or other material that is not expressly made downloadable;
  • publish, upload, distribute, transmit or make course materials available to another person;
  • remove copyright, trade mark or other ownership notices;
  • adapt, translate or create derivative training materials from a substantial part of the course materials;
  • use the course materials to provide a competing course, workshop, resource or commercial service;
  • attempt to bypass security, access restrictions or technical protections; or
  • use the course, website or platform unlawfully or in a way that could damage them or interfere with another user.

10.2 These restrictions protect the expression, presentation and materials contained in the course. They do not prevent the learner from using general knowledge, ideas or memory techniques learned through the course.

11. Misuse of the course

11.1 We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe that you or the learner has committed a serious, deliberate or repeated breach of these terms, infringed intellectual property rights, shared access, used the materials commercially without permission, acted unlawfully or created a material security risk.

11.2 We may act immediately where the breach is serious, deliberate, repeated, harmful or urgent. For a minor breach that can reasonably be corrected, we will explain the problem and give a reasonable opportunity to correct it before terminating access.

11.3 If access is terminated because of your or the learner’s breach, the licence ends immediately and all use of the course must stop. Downloaded materials must be deleted or destroyed if we reasonably request this. No refund will be due unless required by law.

11.4 If access was suspended or terminated in error, we will restore it and take reasonable steps to ensure that the learner receives the remaining guaranteed access.

12. Educational and medical boundaries

12.1 Memory Curious provides general educational information. It is not a medical service, diagnostic tool or treatment and does not provide advice tailored to an individual’s health, medical history or circumstances.

12.2 The learner should seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional about significant, sudden or worsening changes in memory, thinking or cognitive abilities. Course information should not be used to disregard professional advice, delay seeking it or stop prescribed treatment.

12.3 The Educational and Medical Disclaimer, available at https://courses.memorycurious.com/p/disclaimer, provides further information and should be read alongside these terms.

13. Results and testimonials

13.1 Memory is affected by many individual and situational factors. We do not guarantee any particular result, improvement or outcome from using the course, and no technique is guaranteed to work for every learner or task.

13.2 The course provides explanations, techniques and a system for testing what may be useful. Results depend partly on the learner’s circumstances, engagement and application of the material.

13.3 Any testimonial describes one person’s experience. It is not a promise or guarantee that another learner will obtain the same result.

14. Intellectual property

14.1 The course, videos, scripts, animation, characters, workbook, Toolkit, graphics, branding, website content and other materials are owned by us or used under licence. They are protected by copyright, trade mark and other intellectual property laws.

14.2 No ownership rights are transferred to you or the learner. The only permission granted is the limited licence in section 9.

14.3 “Memory Curious” and the course branding may not be used in a way that suggests endorsement, affiliation or permission without our prior written agreement.

15. Privacy

15.1 We process personal information as described in the Memory Curious Privacy Policy at https://courses.memorycurious.com/p/privacy. Teachable and payment providers also process information under their own privacy notices.

15.2 You must not provide another person’s personal information during purchase or registration unless you have authority to do so.

16. Our responsibility to you

16.1 Nothing in these terms excludes or limits:

  • liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence;
  • liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
  • a statutory right to a refund, repair, replacement, price reduction or compensation for qualifying damage caused to a device or other digital content; or
  • any other liability or right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

16.2 Subject to section 16.1, we are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that was not foreseeable.

16.3 The course is supplied for personal learning. We are not responsible for business losses, including loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity, anticipated savings or business data.

16.4 We are not responsible for a failure caused by inaccurate information supplied by you, misuse of the course, an incompatible or inadequately maintained device, your internet connection, or a failure to follow reasonable access instructions, except to the extent that we caused or contributed to the loss.

17. Events outside our reasonable control

17.1 We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by an event outside our reasonable control, including widespread internet or hosting failure, cyberattack, natural disaster, serious illness, industrial dispute, government action or a failure of an essential third-party platform that we could not reasonably prevent.

17.2 We will take reasonable steps to reduce the effect of the event and restore or replace access. If the event materially prevents access during the guaranteed period, we will provide any remedy required by law.

18. Complaints

18.1 Please send complaints to john@memorycurious.com with your order details and enough information for us to understand the issue.

18.2 We will investigate complaints fairly and within a reasonable time. We may request further information and will keep you informed if the matter requires longer to resolve.

18.3 Using this complaints process does not prevent either party from exercising any legal right or remedy.

18.4 When communicating the final outcome of a consumer complaint, we will provide any information about alternative dispute resolution or other complaint-resolution arrangements required by applicable law.

19. Changes to these terms

19.1 The version accepted at the time of purchase will normally continue to govern that purchase.

19.2 We may make reasonable changes where necessary to reflect a change in law, regulation, security, technology, payment processing, platform operation or the way the course is provided. We may also make changes that are beneficial or do not materially disadvantage existing customers.

19.3 During the guaranteed access period, a change that would materially disadvantage an existing customer will not apply to that customer without agreement unless the change is required by law, security or an essential platform requirement. Where such a change must be made, we will give reasonable notice where practicable and provide any remedy required by law. We will not use a change to remove a right or remedy that has already arisen or to avoid a legal obligation.

20. Transfer of the contract

20.1 You may not transfer the contract, account or licence without our prior written agreement.

20.2 We may transfer our rights and obligations to another organisation, for example as part of a sale or reorganisation of the Memory Curious business, provided that the transfer does not materially reduce your rights. We will tell you if this happens.

21. General provisions

21.1 If any provision of these terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply. The affected provision will be treated as modified only to the minimum extent necessary to make it lawful and enforceable, where the law allows this.

21.2 If we delay enforcing a provision, that does not mean that we have waived it. A waiver on one occasion does not prevent enforcement on another occasion.

21.3 Except for a named learner’s permission to use the course under these terms, no person who is not a party to the contract has a right to enforce it under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

22. Governing law and courts

22.1 These terms and the contract are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

22.2 If you are a consumer living outside England and Wales, you retain any mandatory consumer protections given to you by the law of the country in which you habitually live. Nothing in these terms requires you to give up a right to bring proceedings in another court where that right is protected by applicable law.

22.3 Subject to section 22.2, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction over disputes arising from or connected with the contract.

23. Notices and communications

23.1 We will send important contractual notices to the email address associated with the account. A notice sent by email will be treated as received when it would ordinarily be delivered, unless we receive a delivery failure message.

23.2 You must keep your account email address current and check it regularly. You may send notices to us at john@memorycurious.com.
